Searching for the Right Illustrator… Not Just Any Illustrator

Let’s be honest — finding a low-budget illustrator with great skills feels a bit like hunting for a unicorn. It’s tough. And while I completely understand the value of paying artists well (because creativity deserves it!), not every new author has a big publishing budget to start with.

So, instead of just hiring someone to “get the job done,” I’m trying something different.

I’m hoping to find an amazing illustrator who’s not just looking for a job — but looking for a journey.

Someone who sees the vision in these books, believes in the characters I’ve created, and wants to build something meaningful together. Maybe we’re both at the beginning stages of our careers. Maybe we both have dreams bigger than our current resumes.

But what if this is the start of something great?

I’m not just looking for one-time help. I’m looking for a creative partner. A teammate. Someone who’s excited about telling stories with heart and humor, and who’s ready to bring those pages to life.

If that’s you — or someone you know — reach out. Let’s create magic together.
