Fireworks, Freedom, and a Few Good Books: A Cozy Fourth of July

Today smells like sunscreen and grilled corn, sounds like crackling fireworks and laughter, and feels like porch swings, sparklers, and the kind of freedom you carry in your chest. 🇺🇸

Here at Cozy Crinkled Pages, we’re celebrating the Fourth of July with our favorite kind of independence the freedom to read what we love, write what we feel, and share stories that connect us, no matter where we come from.

Whether you’re stretched out under the stars, chasing fireflies with your kids, or sneaking off for a quiet moment with a book, I hope today brings you the kind of joy that lingers long after the last sparkler fizzles.

Some ways to celebrate today (the bookish way, of course):

  • Read a book set in America’s past historical fiction hits different when you’re surrounded by red, white, and blue.

  • Write a letter to your future self, thanking them for the freedom to grow, heal, and dream.

  • Pass on a story whether it’s one your grandpa told you or one you’re writing yourself.

  • Gift a book to someone you love because stories are one of the most powerful ways we share freedom.

And if you’re on my mailing list, keep your eye on the mailbox there just might be a surprise heading your way soon.

Thank you for spending time with me here at Cozy Crinkled Pages. However you celebrate today, I hope it’s filled with joy, meaning, and maybe a marshmallow or two.

Stay safe, stay cozy, and keep telling your story.

Happy Fourth of July!
