Exploring West Virginia: Stitching Together Story and Soul

I’ve always believed that the places we walk through leave footprints on our hearts—and West Virginia is leaving some beautiful ones on mine. From quiet country roads to the rolling hills that seem to hum their own lullaby, this place has a rhythm all its own.

I’ve been spending time exploring its charm, not just for the fresh air (though that helps), but to let the stories start to rise. I’m gathering details, sights, sounds, and soul—because I want to write a story that brings a soft, steady light to this often-overlooked state.

The Quilt That Held Mama’s Heart was born here, in a small farmhouse nestled among the trees. And just like the quilt in the story, I’m finding patches of inspiration in every corner of West Virginia.

This is just the beginning. The writing journey continues, and I hope you’ll walk it with me—one memory, one mile, one stitched-together story at a time

P.S. I bet you couldn’t help but to sing it - West Virginia, mountain mama…You’re Welcome.

Sometimes, you just have to get out there and chase that story.
